Richard Nutton is an Orthopaedic Surgeon in Edinburgh, based at the Spire Murrayfield Hospital.  A Consultant with 25 years experience, he specialises in adult orthopaedics, with an interest in disorders of the knee and shoulder.

He is a member of the British Association for Surgery of the Knee and a founder member of the British Elbow and Shoulder Society.   Richard is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Edinburgh, with research interests in knee surgery, in particular the outcome of knee replacement surgery.

He established one of the longest standing Fellowships in Knee Surgery, which continues to support training and research in orthopaedics.

Richard is a keen sportsman, although now more as a spectator than participant. 

He is an Honorary Medical Advisor to the Scottish Rugby Union.
